If you did NOT reserve accommodation with us please come directly to our school on the morning of your first course day. Details and our address are provided in our arrival information we provide with your confirmation letter after receiving your enrollment.
If you DID reserve accommodation with us please note that:
Accommodation is available from Sunday before your first course day until Saturday after your last course day. If you arrive earlier or leave later, we will try to reserve all necessary extra nights, which will be charged automatically when you enroll.
Please let us know your arrival time to Barcelona, so that we can be sure there will be someone expecting you. This is especially important if have chosen to live with a family.
On your day of arrival accommodation will be available from 14:00; on your day of departure accommodation must be vacated by 12:00. We will try our utmost to reserve your accommodation free of charge should you arrive earlier or depart later, but we unfortunately cannot guarantee this before hand. |

Arrival to Barcelona by plane:
Those arriving in Barcelona by plane will land at Barcelona Airport, “El Prat de Llobregat”, coded BCN in the international aviation codes. The airport is 13 km (8 miles) away from central Barcelona to the southwest and there are several traveling options for getting from the airport to the city.
By car from the airport: the access highway from the airport to central Barcelona is the C-246 highway – “Autovia de Castelldefels”. Travel time will vary depending on traffic but should take around 20-30 minutes.
By Taxi from the airport: taxis abound outside the airport’s three terminals and will also take around 20-30 minutes in getting to central Barcelona along the C-246 highway – “Autovia de Castelldefels”. Fares depend on your destination but expect a minimum of 15 Euro. Be sure to consult the driver on the possible fare to get an idea of what the trip will amount to.
By bus from the airport: A bus service is available for those going to central Barcelona. Buses leave the airport every 15 minutes from all three terminals and take you to the “Plaza Cataluña”. The service is available from 6 AM to midnight. Expect a 30 minute ride into Barcelona. The fare is 3.30 Euro. |
Arrival to Barcelona by car: The most common access by road into Barcelona is from Madrid via the N-2, A-2, and A-7 motorways. Arriving from outside of Spain the approach to Barcelona is from France with the main access route at the eastern end of the Pyrenees via the express highway, the E-15.
Arrival to Barcelona by bus: Although this is another possibility, it is a fairly slow way of getting to Barcelona and therefore not popular. Various bus service companies can arrange for travel between Barcelona and several European destinations. These include Eurolines Limited, Enarcar, Linebús, and Julià Via.
Arrival to Barcelona by train: Traveling by rail is much faster and more comfortable than by bus. Connections will be required at some point in France. Major trains are the TALGO and the Pau Casals.
Arrival to Barcelona by ferry: Getting to Barcelona through the port is another option. Transmediterránea provides the ferry service to and from Majorca and Minorca. |

| Moving around Barcelona:The fastest and cheapest way of moving around Barcelona is using the metro which runs from 5 am to midnight on Mondays-Thursdays & Sundays and from 5 am to 2 am on Fridays, Saturdays & holidays. A one-way fare will cost around 1 Euro. Tickets will be checked before boarding and it is a good idea to get a deal on the multiple-trip tickets. |
