ACTIVITIES IN BARCELONA
In addition to learning Spanish there are many things to see and do in Barcelona and its surrounding area.
By getting to know Barcelona you will develop a greater understanding of Spanish life and culture.
In order to provide this insight we organize optional activities, which take place after classes in the afternoon or evening. Students will always go accompanied by a school's representative.
Activities are free of charge, participants only cover their personal costs for food, drinks and entrance fees.
We offer visits of museums and exhibitions, for example in the Picasso and Miró Museum, and the Museum of Contemporaneous Art or the archeological Museum.
We also organize guided walks through historical Barcelona and visit all the main sights like the Barrio Gótico, Las Ramblas, Parc de la Ciutadella und of course the cathedral.
Of course you may also discover Barcelona on your own or with your fellow students. We recommend visiting the Zoo, the Planetarium, and the IMAX Cinema.
The fastest and cheapest way of moving around Barcelona is using the metro. A one-way fare will cost around 1€. Tickets are checked before boarding and it may be a good idea to get a deal on the multiple-trip tickets.
Football supporters will have the unique option to watch one of Spain’s best team in their home stadium: the FC Barcelona.
Maybe you will even experience the clash of Spain’s best teams which still draws the whole Spanish nation in front of the TV, the first league top game between Real Madrid und FC Barcelona.
In the evenings we offer Salsa dancing courses, video - cinema and theater nights, visits to tapa bars in typical Spanish bodegas, and to Flamenco Shows, the Carnivals and Semana Santa processions.
On the weekend we organize day excursions to Montserrat, Girona, Figueres, Sitges, Caves Cellars, etc. These excursions are all offered at reasonable rates.
Additionally, depending on the season we also offer weekend trips for two or three days to destinations like: Madrid, Seville, Ibiza and also Mallorca.
